Thanasis Dinopoulos is a professor of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology of the Veterinary Science Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). He served as President of the Veterinary Science Department (2 terms) and of the Hellenic Society for Neuroscience, member of the Research Committee of the AUTh, member of the Working Group for the drafting of the Internal Regulation of AUTh, member of the International Committee of Veterinary Gross Anatomical Nomenclature (INVGAN), Vice President of the Veterinary Science Department and Manager of the Anatomy and Histology Lab for 12years.
Apart from anatomy and histology, emphasizing in the nervous system, he teaches the optional courses Brain and art and Evolution Errors and Darwin Fallacies, as well as subjects of his specialty in departmental and interdepartmental postgraduate programmes of AUTh and UOM (University of Macedonia).
He is the author of 46 articles, most of which are published in international neuroscience journal, and 77 announcements and speeches in Greek and international conferences.
