Despina Sarafeidou

Despina Sarafeidou is a graduate of the Athens State University (philosophy / psychology) and the E. Hatzikou Acting School. She has worked as an actor both in Greece and abroad (U.S.A., Europe); she has collaborated as an assistant director with R. Pateraki and L. Breuer and has also taught various acting classes. 

She has won the “Karolos Koun” 2018 Best Actor Award for the role of Sarah in The Sacrifice of Abraham. She has received the Leading Female Role Award (Apollon  International Theatre Festival – Fier, 2011), the Actor of Europe Award (Actor of Europe Theatre Festival – Resen, 2012) and the Best Performance in a Transgender Role Award (3rd Queer Theatre Awards – Athens, 2014) for Kassandra.
